Get serious about SDA Success
2017 saw around 950 SDA places commissioned across Australia, 2018 is the year it gets serious. Come and learn from those who know about how to make the SDA work.
This workshop leaves behind the policy discussion to look instead at how real organisations are navigating the SDA maze.
Attendees will walk away with practical ideas, tips and greater confidence in entering the SDA market and delivering high quality SDA housing
Case studies of SDA initiatives
Lessons from the projects and providers who have taken the plunge and commissioned SDA properties. What worked, what are the challenges and how are these being overcome?
For people managing SDA projects and strategies this will provide an end-to-end perspective on the tips to making your SDA project as successful as possible.
Focus on SIL
Analysing how SIL and SDA providers are working together. How are providers splitting tenancy selection and management? What models of collaboration are we seeing in the way providers work together? What works and what should be avoided?
For those collaborators and networks trying to make SDA-SIL partnerships work, this will look at what to do more of and what to avoid in the way SIL and SDA fit together.
Focus on Housing Design
Working through building code, planning and SDA design category guidelines make delivering an SDA property extremely complex and risky.
We will identify key risks to monitor and provide advice from those SDA providers who have been commissioning architects and LHA assessors to assist with SDA design.
