3 New Support Coordination Workshops!

People told us they liked our recent Support Coordination workshop so much that they would have come back for more. So we took you seriously and here are three brand new Support Coordination workshops, specifically designed for three different stages of the journey.

Support Coordination for Beginners

This workshop is designed for organisations and individuals wanting to understand the fundamentals of this new, important support type, including:

  • The four levels of Support Coordination: NDIS expectations of the roles and best practice
  • Using the NDIS Participant Portal
  • Understanding how much Support Coordination is being funded and for whom
  • The resources available to answer your own questions and develop your practice

Sydney: Tuesday 23 May              Melbourne: Tuesday 30 May

Advanced Practice Workshop

Our Advanced Practice workshop was born when we saw the phenomenal ideas that experienced Support Coordinators came up with when they each shared what they had learned. This workshop will be highly interactive, with the goal of each attendee contributing to a Support Coordinator toolkit they can take back with them, packed full of ideas for how to use participants NDIS plans creatively. This workshop will also cover what we are hearing are the key concerns of experienced Support Coordinators, including:

  • Interpreting NDIS Plans
  • Tools to break down the Price Guide and uncover flexibility where it seems there is none
  • Goal setting for the best NDIS planning outcomes
  • Understanding and implementing the NDIS Outcomes Framework
  • Troubleshooting (or as we like to call it, a "Forget the 1800 Number" section): We will be accepting your most prickly questions ahead of time and linking you to the answers you've been looking for.

Sydney: Wednesday 24 May              Melbourne: Wednesday 31 May

Running a Support Coordination Business

This workshop is for Managers and Sole Traders (or sole traders in the making!) and will focus on what it takes to effectively and efficiently run a Support Coordination service, including:

  • Innovative Support Coordination business models
  • Understanding and mitigating the inherent risks
  • Market and customer data: what is being funded now in and in the future
  • Managing conflicts of interest and integrating Support Coordination with a larger organisation
  • Understanding NDIS expectations, including registration and reporting requirements
  • Marketing and brand building

Don't just take our word for it. In our recent Support Coordination workshops we had close to 400 participants around Australia - here's what some of them had to say about the day:

Thanks for the high energy and informative session. How you managed to maintain your energy level and artfully reframe and avoid cynical parties hijacking was quite an art!
— Daniel Maloney, Specialist Services Manager, St John of God Accord
I really admire your brain power and your optimism... I could have come back for more the next day!
— Susanna Philbey, solved4u
I wanted to congratulate you and your team on the way you took us through the journey of transition from what was, and into what is at the moment ever changing and emerging and that you delivered this with positivity and refreshing realism.
— Anne McCormick, Outlook
